Federal Budget - Good News for NDIS
In celebration of the International Day for People with a Disability, Qualcare held our first NDIS forum at the Centre Ivanhoe on Wednesday 3rd December 2014.
AQA Victoria held our Annual General Meeting and Staff Recognition Awards on Thursday the 27th of November. It was great to see our staff and clients come along to celebrate the end of the year, witness staff receiving their awards and hear about the work that has been completed over the past year.
Carer’s week is a national week where we raise awareness of unpaid Carer’s of people with a disability, injury or illness. Unpaid Carer’s come from all walks of life including partners, siblings, children, family members and significant others. They provide a valuable service to the individual and to the community.
The Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 requires non-public sector employers with 100 or more staff to submit a report to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency between 1 April and 31 May each year. This is the first year the AQA has been required to complete this report and we are required to make a copy of this available to you.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme, now known as Disability Care Australia commenced at the launch sites around the country on the 1st of July 2013. For Victorians this will affect people living in the Barwon region.
